What happens if you hack mw3

You may not be aware of how these online games operate, let me explain. Modern Warfare 3 doesn't use dedicated servers to host these games.

There is a COD server, but it's main function is to link players together for matchmaking in co-ordination with Xbox Live , keep scores and player rankings and select users in a lobby to 'Host' the game. Which leads to the most important part, the 'Host'. In effect, one user, who, depending on their network speed and geographical location, is chosen by the Activision servers to run a particular match.

So, the games themselves, when in progress, are actually run by other console's, not Activision or Microsoft. Activision kind of sits in-between, keeping players together and recording scores.

This is why, at least in the first COD games, if the host quit or lost connection, everyone was kicked and returned to the main lobby. These older Call of Duty games were run like this because the advantage from a business point of view is they cost very little to run. The disadvantage is that they are extremely difficult if not impossible to monitor. The only way exploits can be fixed is to patch the game. Patching costs money, and can take away work from other projects. These games are old, they aren't going to be patched anymore.

The big difference is the games are hosted on dedicated servers. These are dedicated machines set to run all online matches. The advantages are huge. The servers generally can't be easily manipulated to run versions of the game with mods.

From what I understand, it's almost impossible. And, because they are fully run by Activision, they are far more easy to maintain and more importantly, monitor. The main disadvantage is cost, and longevity. After a time, the publisher may choose to close the game servers down. When this happens, no one will be able to play the game anymore. As unfortunate as it is, MS can't assist with the hacked accounts, ultimately its up to Activision to ratchet down on their servers.

The most MS can do is suspend or ban players who are in violation of their ToS. I still have to point out even Activision uses the "Reporting" feature as their go to response when a user has a issue with a hacked account. I have been playing this game for over 5 years a few times a week. I always report the egregious hackers. I never bother to report the self promoting ones that use flashing user names.

I assume Activision knows about them without my help. I got one 1 response from my reporting in 5 years that Activision actually removed an egregious hacker.

Only one time has the reporting feature worked for me. I think from my experience that even though legit gamers are reporting bad players using the specific description of 'tampering' there is no effort on Activision or even Microsoft to remove these players that affect the overall population of the gaming world.

My suggestion, monitor the simple 'Tamper' list that the users give you. On my estimates, I reached player rank 's legitimately a while back in one of the primary games in MW3.

Then the hackers started to multiple. What others see isn't always a hacker. Are there hackers VAC isnt even a deterent for cheats, if and its a very big if cheats get caught, they simply use one of their new CD keys that they bought a whole load of for 50p UK each from Russia.

VAC is toothless and weak. Hackers are in every game in existence, not only VAC is useless. Robert Bowling said in the case of Modern Warfare 3 different bans were available depending on how serious the cheating was. PermaDouche possible. Follow our technology reporter Dan Whitworth on Twitter. Modern Warfare 3 video game launch. Call of Duty breaks sales records. I don't even understand how people can play MW3.

Regardless of the hacks, glitches, cheaters etc.. Even having the same engine and gameplay is not a huge issue it's expected now. MW3 is a disgrace to gaming for 1 reason. The amount of content that was taken from each and every previous title, shoved into this new game, and sold AS a new game. When MW2 came out, you heard a lot of people say, "oh it's just MW1.

Well, yea I mean everyone knows it was just a new game, with added features and what not, but it was at least NEW stuff like the revamped kill streak system, a bunch of new weapons and levels that actually felt different from MW1. I played MW3 multiplayer for all of 3 or 4 hours spanned across a few days , and immediately took notice of how many weapons were from the previous games, how the levels were basically just redesigned messes of levels from MW2.

Not fun. Giving people awards and points after every match like 4 year olds makes them feel special. Sorry but this is pretty much most online games, COD isn't the only one but is mostly the biggest one. I can stand playing COD if no one is cheating, how can I tell? Well if four people shooting at one person and they don't die I think its a hint they are cheating if, the or those people that use the hack to make you knife.

But in the same time the hacks can screw them over, anytime this person got close to people. They would knife, he end up trying to sneak up on me and fail because I was looking that way an I knife him. Can you provide any evidence of these hacks on the consoles?

Videos would be ideal. It makes sense in these cases, it's on the PC and the game files can be modified if you have the technical ability.

In the most extreme cases its lag-switching which is usually patched out shortly after it appears MAG on ps3 is a good example of this.

In the majority of cases, that person is just better than them. Just my 2 cents worth, but without video evidence your argument in relation to the console side of things is null. WAW seems the worst for hackers. Not had a hacked MW3 game, but not played for 3 months or so, could be bad now for all I know. When you watch the killcam you can see all the writing on the screen and see what hack they're using.

I really hate it when I get put in a hacked lobby, and leave as soon as I notice. It just spoils the game for everyone. I thought of that and I included it in the post. I do have a video of someone using a lag switch, and I agree. But I know the difference between just getting pwned vs someone hacking. I usually just quit the game and find a new one. It is just that it is so prevalent like my example of being on a team that had a constant Advanced UAV now that it isn't any fun. There just isn't anywhere to upload them to from my PS3 which would be ideal.

I have only seen 1 hacked game on PS3 and only twice on I mean obviously hacked, back in MW I wish I had proof, but it does happen. But, I would have to say that this game is so poorly networked lag , so unbalanced, and so glitchy that I don't really blame the average player for calling hacks. OP While I don't know how aimbot it implemented, I know how to set up the always on radar, super speed, extra 2x health, faster regeneration, lag switch, set the map, etc.

Here is a video which contains links to the. In caseh's defence he has a very gd point, I play cod every week and have done since cod 3 and the only cod i've seen hacked is MW2 and you know how I handled that game simply go find another lobby, I love playin cod and aint gonna let some cheating little shit ruin my game time.
