You'll know you're in the right sector, because you'll see a little pop-up message saying that "Your team found someone in the swamp at sector: [wherever they are]. You'll probably want someone with decent leadership to talk to him, though. When all else fails, read the instructions.
If you start a new game, he might be in a completely different sector, and the Drassen natives will give you different directions to his cabin. Either way, if all else fails, a brute-force search of the swamp sectors around Drassen will work.
